Comparativ takes no responsibility for the topicality, correctness, completeness or quality of the provided information. Liability claims against the service provider, editor or the editorial staff which refer to damages of a material or intangible nature caused by using or not using presented information, or by the usage of faulty or incomplete information, are categorically excluded unless there is evidence of wilful intent or gross negligence on the part of Comparativ.
All offers are subject to change without notice and non-binding. The editorial staff explicitly retains the right to change, amend, delete or to temporarily, or irrevocably, discontinue the publication of parts of the pages, or the entire offer, without prior notice.
Comparativ does not take responsibility for the unsolicited submission of texts, books, data files, etc. Bylined articles reflect the authors’ opinion and not necessarily the editorial staff’s. H-Soz-Kult does not take responsibility for incorrect information and the content of bylined articles.
References and Links:
In the case of direct or indirect references to external websites, ‘hyperlinks’, which are beyond Comparativ’s area of responsibility, liability would only occur if Comparativ had known about the content, and if it had been technologically possible and reasonable for Comparativ to prevent the usage of illegal content.
The editorial staff of Comparativ hereby explicitly declares that no illegal content was visible on the linked pages when Comparativ published external hyperlinks. Comparativ has no influence whatsoever on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. This applies to all online links and references offered by Comparativ as well as external contributions to discussion forums or mailing lists that the editorial staff have set up. The provider of the linked pages, not the person who merely refers to the particular publication, is solely responsible for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and, in particular, for damages resulting from the usage or non-usage of such information.

The editors reserve the right to refuse any submission, whether invited or otherwise, and to make suggestions and/or modifications before publication.
